Anything that can be bottled or canned will be sold by some corporation somewhere. I mean, we’re being sold tap water in plastic bottles, and we are dumb enough to actually fork over money for it!
I was in the subway today and saw an ad for NeuroBliss. I hought it was some kind of body spray that makes you feel chill. But now I realize it’s a drink. This stuff comes in a variety of flavors that supposedly possess amazing qualities: one can make you sleep well, another can reduce stress, and another can increase your passion ‘to pursue what you love’. Was the FDA asleep when this company was writing their ad copy? These claims can’t be legit, can they?
Then there’s a drink called Tumeric. Have you ever tasted turmeric? It’s great in Indian food and has many positive health properties, but as a drink additive? Yuck!
Good grief. I haven’t seen these yet. It will be interesting to see if any of them start making their way onto the soccer field in place of gatorade.
